If you want to get fit but you can’t seem to make yourself go to the gym, there is something you can do to get the motivation to work out. You can find ways to work out outside the gym. This is a great alternative as it will give you an opportunity to spend time outside and get some fresh air and some sunlight which has its own health benefits. You also don’t have to pay the high gym membership prices and you might not have to travel far as most of these activities can be done around your neighbourhood as well.
 
Cycling around the park

Cycling is a great way to lose weight and get fit outside the gym. You can go to the park in your area and pick a nice cycling route or start from your home and pick one that leads you back there. This way you can save a lot of time you would normally spending preparing and traveling to get to the gym. The equipment you will need is inexpensive as well and you can look out for some mountain bikes for sale and get a good deal on a bike. If you want to take your work out to the next level you can also try something more challenging like a cycling on a Cyclocross track. You will need to get a special womens road bikes to ride these tracks. You can find out about the availability of such a track in your area with a simple online search.

Long walks or an early morning jog

Long walks or an early morning jog is a great way to start your day and get fit. Exercise in the morning will help you feel active and keep away the lethargy through out the day. Early morning is also a really good time to go outside because the early morning sun is known to be good for producing vitamin D and give you glowing skin. A long walk is not strenuous and it also recommended for those starting to get into a fitness routine. Therefore if you are just getting into the habit of getting fit, this is a great activity for you to do.

Spending time in the water is really therapeutic. Its great for your joints such as ankles and knees that often take on a lot of stress and wear and tear when you go about your daily activities. Therefore swimming is a great way to stay in shape and relax your body.
